What Does Your Dry Blood Say?

As part of the blood analysis appointment, four small drops of blood are placed on a microscope slide and set to dry for a few minutes. These drops will be analyzed in their dry state, rather than their live state. By looking at the blood in a dried state we are able to determine many potential concerns associated with inflammation, heavy metal toxicity, and fungal activity for example.

Below are some examples of what can be observed in the dry blood samples and what it can indicate regarding your health!

Healthy Blood

Although nobody’s blood is completely perfect, this sample demonstrates a healthy state. There is no sign of severe inflammation or toxicity within the organ systems.

Systemic Inflammation

The white areas of the sample represent inflammation. In this case, the white areas appear throughout the entire drop, indicating a systemic inflammatory state. Natural anti-inflammatories such as curcumin and omega-3 can be helpful in cases like these.

Mineral Loss

The white spike formation is an indication of mineral loss. Some factors that contribute to mineral loss are the overuse of diuretics (i.e coffee & alcohol), excessive sugar consumption, chronic stress, or could be medication induced. It is important to remineralize in order to protect the bones and teeth from weakening.

Bowel Inflammation

The white circles in the middle represent inflammation in the gastrointestinal (G.I) tract. The very dark area in the centre indicates high bowel toxicity, likely due to constipation or antibiotic use. In cases like these, it is highly recommended to incorporate a daily probiotic and to pursue a gut-healing protocol in order to repair possible damage in the gut lining.

Adrenal Stress

Tiny white dots that form in the centre of the sample are indicators of adrenal stress. The adrenal glands produce cortisol, the stress hormone. Life can get busy and of course stressful but it is critical to manage stress effectively. There are many wonderful herbs and minerals that can help!

Organ Inflammation

This is a severe case of inflammation in the organ systems. This particular client had a collapsed lung and the trauma was reflected in the blood sample.
